But be warned, dear matey, for among them lurk some rather unsavoury characters (yes, we’re talking pirates)! \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAnd let's not forget that the sea is home to all manner of mysterious forces and rather odd creatures. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eHumans have been sailing these waters for centuries, and we’ve gathered tales told in old taverns or whispered to the village elders, revealing the legends of pirates and mythical sea beasts. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eNow, life at sea is perilous, and the line between life and death is as thin as a sailor's patience on a stormy night. Hence, our characters are depicted in all their glory — both alive and, well, not so much. The Latin phrase Carpe Diem (seize the day) adorns the back of our tuck box as a cheeky reminder! \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn our deck, the Spades and Clubs represent the pirates, whilst the Hearts and Diamonds are our brave sailors. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eSpades - Pirates \u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe Tenshidean pirates are the charming rogues of the southeast, just south of the lovely elven forests. Rumour has it, they've even had tea (or something like it) with elves — though that’s a story for another day. They’re known to hide away in the smaller islands down south, sailing a galleon that could rival The Vale Navy’s finest (perhaps a trophy from a particularly wild skirmish). These pirates are noble sorts, stealing only from the fat cats of the seas, never starting a ruckus without good reason. Fabulous leaders, strikingly handsome, but don’t let that fool you; they’ve got swords and guns at the ready! \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eMeet Captain James, our dashing Jack, Iry the exotic pirate Queen, and Nicholas the fierce King commander. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eHearts - Sailors \u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe Vale Navy boasts the finest sailors around, and being part of it is a badge of honour. Their lovely ship sails the west coast of Ihivale, where the Kraken supposedly lurks (no pressure, right?). These seasoned mariners have braved the harshest trials and are easily spotted in their splendid uniforms — the envy of the sea! They keep a watchful eye on the northern and western coasts, keeping pesky pirates at bay. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIntroducing Sir Drake, our dashing lieutenant Jack, Lady Celeste, the commandress Queen, and Sir James, the intrepid King captain. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eClubs - Pirates \u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe Duiburn Pirates are the real deal — the scariest lot you could bump into whilst sailing. Ruthless doesn’t even begin to cover it; not many live to tell the tale after crossing paths with them, as they’re not fans of leaving witnesses. They haunt the northern shores of the Elven realm, intent on dominating the northern seas. Legends say their treasure is hidden near Tenschiden, where a magnificent sea dragon supposedly lurks. Many have sought their fortune — and found only a watery grave. They’re not the type to invite you over for tea; they’re all about fighting, drinking, and sinking ships. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAllow us to introduce John, our wild Jack, Lady Morgana, the fierce Queen, and Edward, the mad King captain. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cb\u003eDiamonds - Sailors \u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFrom the bustling harbour of Zrienard, we present The Zrienard Navy — our Diamonds cards. Not quite as prestigious as The Vale Navy, this lot is a mixed bag, attracting all sorts (some might say misfits) from every class and race. You might even recognise a familiar face — our half-elf Jack from the previous deck is trying to turn over a new leaf aboard this ship. Our Queen, once a tavern worker, is now seeking adventure as the captain's assistant. And our captain? This brute can flip a ship like a pancake and has been the bane of many a sailor's existence. Rumour has it, he hangs out in the northern sea, perhaps waiting for his next meal. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe Ace of Clubs features the Giant Octopus, who lurks in the southern waters. He’s known to drag ships to a watery doom, so best steer clear of that shore! \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe Ace of Hearts showcases the magnificent Sea Dragon, a sight to behold with his shimmering scales. While he’s not one for trouble, anyone foolish enough to attack him has met a rather unfortunate end. He’s often spotted near Duiburn and Tenshinden, so keep your eyes peeled! \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAnd then we have the terrifying Skeletal Snake, the Ace of Clubs — the stuff of nightmares for sailors near Zrienard. With a penchant for sinking ships, he's a true menace. Legend has it, if you hear the Siren’s song, you’re in for a world of trouble (and possibly a crash landing on the rocks). The Triton, on the other hand, is not to be trifled with; he can whip up storms with a flick of his wrist.
