The Spirit Deck taps into that quirky belief by turning a standard deck of cards into a dazzling blend of card trickery, light, and a touch of optical wizardry (no, not the Harry Potter kind, mate).
Transforming a deck into something solid — think crystal, wood, or whatever tickles your fancy — is a classic magic finale. But Birdy Cai and Jay Wang have cranked it up a notch: the deck morphs into a transparent block, and voilà, light reveals the card that’s left behind. Talk about a plot twist!

The Effect
Two lucky spectators pick a card each. You shuffle them back into the deck and go about your card routine, revealing the first card like a pro. But just as everyone’s getting comfy, the entire deck turns into a transparent block. You casually describe what’s left as the “spirit” of the deck — a memory of its former card companions. Shine a mobile phone flashlight through the block, and bingo! A clear image of the second spectator’s chosen card pops up for all to see.
And here’s the kicker: the image isn’t printed on the surface or hidden away inside. It’s all about how light interacts with the block’s internal optical structure. Magic, right?

A Different Approach to Card Revelations
The block looks as smooth and clear as your best mate’s excuses for being late. Inside, tiny features crafted through cutting-edge manufacturing play tricks with light. Hit it from the right angle, and those features conjure up the image of a playing card. Just like that, a regular beam of light becomes your card-revealing sidekick. It’s like the light itself is holding onto a little memory of the participant’s thought!

Flexible Performance Possibilities
Designed as a grand finale, the Spirit Deck slots into a myriad of card routines seamlessly. Pair it with your sleight of hand, gimmicks, or your own clever routines to craft a conclusion that’ll leave everyone scratching their heads.
Its precision optical design projects a playing card image using a mobile phone flashlight or similar light source, making it suitable for close-up, parlor, and social performances alike.

Measurements

Spirit Deck: 88 × 63 × 15 mm. A few minor variations, blemishes, and subtle differences between blocks are par for the course, even within the same batch. But don’t fret — they won’t mess with the optical projection or the overall performance.
Some magicians fancy edges that look like a regular deck of cards, while others prefer the sleek vibe of a transparent crystal block. It’s all down to your style. Each Spirit Deck comes with a small piece of sandpaper, just in case you want to give the edges a light sand for a matte finish that mimics a deck of playing cards. Prefer the crystal look? Leave it as is — no sanding required.
TCC GLOBAL CO.
