Project Codeword: Quantum Rings
Welcome to the L&L Underground Research Facility, where we tinker with magic like mad scientists (minus the lab coats and questionable ethics).
In our latest escapade, we’ve pushed the Linking Rings technology to places it’s never been before—yes, we’re talking space-age stuff here with the Quantum Rings project.
What’s in store for you? Two cracking Linking Ring routines that you can actually grasp! The first one uses five rings and is a nifty little number perfect for parlor shows or to kick things off in a larger spectacle. The second routine features six rings and is designed to be the pièce de résistance of a formal stage performance, complete with audience helpers (because who doesn’t love a bit of crowd participation?).
Now, let’s chat about the magic itself. The first routine introduces a five-ring false count that’s as easy as pie but looks like you’re counting five separate rings—impressive, right? The second one is a keyless ring routine that’ll have your audience scratching their heads. Picture this: you link the rings, hand them over to your helpers, and they’re left holding solid rings that they can inspect. (Spoiler: clever switching is involved, but we won’t tell if you don’t!)
But wait, there’s more in this top-secret file:
Solo Linking Rings - This is Al Schneider's classic ring routine from his book, Al Schneider Magic, but we’ve spiced it up with that new five-ring count and a few cheeky subtleties to really dazzle the crowd.
Full Stage Linking Rings - This one starts with a bang—literally! The magician pulls a sphere of three rings from a large box with a flame (yes, a flaming box—because why not?). The routine unfolds in three phases: first, you manipulate three rings; then, you bring up an audience member while producing three more rings from the fiery depths. They get to examine the rings, which are all solid, mind you! Finally, the rings engage in a baffling display of linking and unlinking until they’re all back to being separate. Magic, eh?
