ANNIHILATIONThe magician presents a deck of cards, claiming it holds two predictions. A card is freely chosen (seriously, no funny business) and kept hidden from sight. The magician then rummages through the deck to pull out his two prediction cards, which he insists will indicate the selected card's value and suit.
Let’s say the predictions are the Five of Spades and the Queen of Diamonds. The chosen card is revealed—an Eight of Clubs—completely unrelated. Disaster, right? Not quite! When the magician turns the Five and the Queen face down, one sports an Eight drawn on its back, and the other has a Club. Ta-da!

RED HOT ANNIHILATIONAnd the incredible Card At Any Number effect, CONVERGENCE. The magician proposes an experiment in fate with two decks of cards; one red and one blue. The blue deck sits in front of a spectator, untouched by the magician again. The red deck is shown, each card boasting a different number on its back. A second spectator names ANY card (really!). Let’s say it’s the Two of Diamonds. This card is taken from the red deck. Another card is chosen at random, and its back number is noted (let’s say it's 29).
Now the spectator uncases the blue deck and counts down 29 cards... lo and behold, the 29th card is the Two of Diamonds!
