Azlan REDUX PDF by Fraser Parker
Right, let’s talk about the update on the 'Azlan' Card At Any Number, shall we?
This isn’t the same old song and dance from 'Azlan' that you might have seen in God Mode Sui Generis 2. No, no, we’re venturing into fresh territory here.
Picture this: a prediction envelope containing a single playing card is chilling on the table, and your spectator is told to shuffle and cut a deck of cards not once, but twice. Yep, we want it mixed up proper!
While they’re doing their shuffling shuffle, they’re asked to pull a number out of thin air between one and fifty-two (no pressure, right?).
The performer then shows the stark difference between using intuition and plain old guessing. First, the spectator picks a number and deals to that position, guessing where a random card might be hiding. Spoiler alert: they fail miserably. Then they take another stab at it, guessing which card might lurk at another random number. Again, they’re wrong. It’s a bit like watching a cat try to catch its own tail. The performer then jogs the spectator's memory about their original intuitive number and reveals the prediction from the envelope that’s been in plain sight the whole time. As they deal to their chosen number, the card matches the prediction perfectly! So much for guessing; intuition wins the day!
No need for the spectator to worry about those pesky Jokers, and no counting cards in their hands (thank goodness). They shuffle, and we’re good to go. The performer doesn’t even have to touch the deck or know what order the cards are in post-shuffle. It’s all very 'hands-off' (which is just how we like it).
This can be a one-on-one magic moment or a group affair, where one out of three can channel their inner mystic, while the other two take wild guesses.
And here’s the kicker: some pretty knowledgeable magicians have been completely bamboozled by this, even when they were already in the know about the original 'Azlan' effect. Who knew intuition could be this much fun?
