Mark dives into the method and psychology behind his opener, 'Balance' — quite possibly one of the most mind-boggling close-up suspensions ever to hit the scene. No dodgy deck, no magnets, just a deck of cards that defies gravity. Twice!

'No Moves' is a refreshingly simple ambitious card routine (wait, what?!) that culminates with the chosen card eerily creeping out of the deck whilst it’s still out of the performer’s hands! Easy as pie and totally self-contained.

'Chaos' marks Mark’s latest take on his previously released 'Chaos and Order'. This is one of those rare gems — a self-working triumph effect. And true to Elsdon’s style, it’s so much more than meets the eye. How many card tricks can claim to offer entropy throughout the universe as an alternate ending? (Not many, I reckon.)

The opener to a more formal show or stand-up gig, 'Memorisation' looks just like the real deal: the performer memorises the order of a shuffled and cut deck. He puts his money where his mouth is twice and then ups the ante by claiming to memorise a participant’s voice patterns. Packs small, plays massive (just like my last date).

'Celebrities' gives a commercial twist to the classic 'Fred' trick, blending presentation and method in an ideal way to hand out your business card. (Because who doesn’t love a cheeky bit of self-promotion?)

'Swindl-esque' takes a rather quirky detour into everyone’s secret love — binary mathematics! Using number cards for what appears to be the most mathematical card trick going, things get a bit odd (as they do) as Elsdon becomes distracted by the colour of a new hat that the spectator may or may not buy. Amidst the laughter, the chosen number is revealed.

'Pre-prefiguration' showcases Mark’s take on a Jennings effect. It’s so clean and straightforward that one of Larry’s mates declared it the best trick he saw during his entire lecture tour in the UK a few years back. A borrowed, shuffled deck leads to a series of escalating, unbelievable coincidences, culminating in the revelation of an utterly impossible prediction.

Mark also shares his timing and blocking for his handling of card-in-mouth, plus his presentation for the one rubber band trick that works whether you’re performing for one person or an audience of 500.

Finally, in 'My Grandfather's Book', Mark pulls spectators into some personal history that includes several rather unusual coincidences involving an old book and a few commemorative playing cards. We won't spoil the surprise by saying too much — trust us, the charm hits harder if you don’t know what’s coming.
