Card Experiment has decided to dive into the deep end of mythology with their latest offering that turns traditional Japanese tattoo art (Wabori, if you’re feeling fancy) into a deck of playing cards. Yaksha, those mischievous spirits, pop up all over Japanese pop culture — yes, even in your favourite anime and manga. And let's not forget the Hannya mask, which signifies souls gone rogue due to a bit too much obsession or envy (we’ve all been there, right?). Yaksha Playing Cards brings together the vibrant and detailed visuals from myths and folktales, with characters inspired by a smorgasbord of Yaksha stories (some of which you might actually recognise).
