Version One: Kicking off the show, the magician produces a can of Baked Beans and places it proudly on display for all to see (and yes, it’s sealed). The audience watches as the magician continues the show, but at a pivotal moment, a bill is signed and tucked into an envelope, only to be burnt (or shredded if fire’s a dodgy option, like on cruise ships). With hands shown empty, the magician opens the can to reveal the signed bill inside.
Version Two: Here, the magician hands the can of Baked Beans to a lucky audience member to hold onto. At some point, a $100 bill is borrowed, signed, and sealed in an envelope. The envelope is held up to a flame (cue the gasps), but it 'accidentally' goes up in smoke. Undeterred, the magician asks for another bill – this time a signed $10 bill. This one gets folded a few times and, lo and behold, visibly transforms into that previously signed $100 bill! The spectator holding the can is then prompted to open it, revealing none other than the signed $10 bill. And don’t worry, the magician never goes near that can once the spectator has a grip on it from the start!
