This little gem is a Gellerish stunt—definitely not your everyday trick, but rather a standout moment for your show (or a cheeky impromptu performance).
A simple cardboard shoe-box (don’t worry, no shoes involved) and a deck of cards are borrowed. Both can be inspected, and the mentalist doesn’t touch a thing (because why should they?). The spectator gets to shuffle the deck, pick any card, sign the back without peeking, and plop it face down in the box (all whilst the performer is outside, sipping tea or something).
The lid goes back on (and if you’re feeling fancy, you can tape it up) and the deck is whisked away from sight.
Then our hero returns, gives the box a light touch (think of it as a magic massage), and correctly names the card inside. The box opens to reveal the signed card—cue the gasps and applause, because the audience is about to lose it!
