Welcome to the Butterfly Ring, brought to you by barbumagic. In this video, you’ll pick up several advanced ring magic effects, using both impromptu and gimmicked techniques.
Impromptu:
Push - Pull Sequence - Ever thought ring-through-finger could get more exciting? Well, hold onto your hats! This sequence includes:

PUSH (the reverse of Patrick Kun's Reflex - ring through finger)- PULL, CLOSED PUSH, TRANSFER.
TELEPORT - With a flick of the wrist, your ring looks like it’s teleporting from one finger to another (and no, you’re not dreaming).
MELT - Watch as the ring appears to melt through your finger, all under the cover of your hand (magic is messy business).
SLINKY Vanish - A very visual, retention vanish that’ll leave them scratching their heads.
LIFESAVER Vanish - A cheeky method for a super-clean vanish (because who doesn’t love a bit of mischief?).
Gimmicked:
BALANCE - A clean, angle-proof way to balance your ring on your finger; you can even turn your hand horizontally - the ring will look like it’s glued to the tip of your finger (no sticky tape needed).
FLOAT - This one’s a great float for your ring. You can also use it to balance the ring on a finger before transferring it to another finger from the opposite hand (think of it as a magic handshake).
OTT Vanish/Change - With a simple wave of the hand, the ring disappears; it can even make a comeback with another wave (because who doesn’t love a dramatic return?).
UG Vanish/Change - Display a ring in the middle of your hand, close your fingers around it, and when you open up... poof! It’s gone (or is it?!)
CATCH - Inspired by Garrett Thomas' "The Ring Thing," but with a cheekier twist.
BR THROUGH WINDOW - A visual, straightforward illusion of throwing a ring through glass (you’ll want to practice this one).
BR THROUGH GLASS + variation - One of the most jaw-dropping object-through-glass effects you’ll ever see.
BR THROUGH TABLE + variation - Your ring can travel, up or down, through a glass table. (No, it won’t break the glass, promise!)
