Pearl Playing Cards: Sunrise is proof that nature knows how to throw a color party. With both Sunrise and its buddy Sunset, these decks don’t just complement each other; they practically finish each other's sentences.
Think of Monet's “Impression, Sunrise” — that's the vibe we're channeling here. The Pearl Deck takes inspiration straight from that whole impressionistic scene. That's why we’ve got Pearl Playing Cards: SUNRISE and Pearl Playing Cards: SUNSET. They’re a colorful feast for the eyes, with the SUNRISE deck kicking off a brighter version of the natural palette.
Now, we didn’t just whip this up in a weekend. Oh no, we spent over a year tweaking and testing every little detail of this Pearl project. We sampled different paper stocks for the tuck box, played around with color rendering, metallic inks, and card finishes until we felt we had something special. The tuck box? It’s made from a fancy imported paper that shines like the real deal! For the Sunrise edition, we went all out with gold foil, while Sunset struts in with a classy bronze foil. And don't get us started on the inks: bright-red metallics for Sunrise and dark-red metallics for Sunset.
But wait, there’s more! The feel of the cards varies too. Sunrise sports a Magic Finish that gives you a slippery, shiny experience — perfect for those grand fanning moments. Meanwhile, Sunset opts for a Royal Finish, which is less slippery and just right for applying fan powder. Both have their perks, so pick your poison based on your favorite sleight or flourish.
Oh, and the artwork? That’s the handiwork of Toomas Pintson, an Estonian card flourisher and multimedia designer who’s no stranger to the custom deck game. He’s the mastermind behind hot decks like Gemini Casino, Big Boy No.1, Mondrian, and Mako — all of which are now sold out, by the way. These beauties are printed in Taiwan by the talented folks at Hanson Chien Production Company and are limited to just 5000 decks. Grab yours before they’re gone!
