Routine:
The age-old obsession with celebrities kicks off this routine as you test the audience’s knowledge of famous names using cards featuring first names. You’ll go through a stack of cards, calling out each celebrity’s first name while the crowd eagerly shouts back the last name. You say, "Paris!" and they respond, "Hilton!" You say "Tiger!" and they reply, "Woods!" You get the idea. To spice things up, you invite a celebrity guru from the audience—someone who’s practically psychic when it comes to celebrity trivia. After some cheeky banter, they’re invited on stage, given a large envelope, and told to take a seat on it. With their “celebrity intuition” (and a little help from their “psychic derriere”), they’ll try to guess the mystery celebrity hidden in the envelope. The volunteer divides the celebrity names, discarding half, and continues to whittle down their choices until they land on a name. Let’s say they choose "Tom" for Tom Cruise. They hand you the envelope, and lo and behold, out comes a photo of a six-month-old Tom Cruise! Cue the laughter as you unfold the photo, explaining that, yes, he’s a baby in the buff. You then cheekily ask the audience if they reckon baby Tom was cuter than his adult self. Just when you think it’s over, you flip the large tabloid photo to reveal a grown-up headshot of...Tom Cruise!
