Guess what? One of the world’s top magicians is going to show this off on a US TV show! If you think Crazy-Hole 2.0 is just another trick, think again — it’s absolutely bonkers!
Trust me, your most doubtful audience members will be left scratching their heads!
All you need is a card, a toothpick, and a borrowed bank note—easy peasy!
With these three items, you’re set to bewilder your crowd!
Effect:
Present the card to your audience; it’s a blue one with a single hole smack bang in the middle of the long side. Then, fold the bank note in half lengthwise.
Everything’s above board because you’re doing this just inches from their faces (no funny business here).
Insert the card into the folded banknote. Now, using the toothpick, pierce right through the note! Voilà, the card is now securely trapped inside!
Hold it up for all to see, front and back, just a whisker away from your spectators! Ask someone to tug on the blue card to prove it’s stuck solidly thanks to the toothpick.
Impossible? Are you sure about that?
Now, explain that it’s possible to shift the materials around, to move that central hole, and therefore, to shift the card! No sooner said than done!
Start sliding the playing card to the right. Now, shift it smoothly to the left. It looks as if the card is gliding right through the toothpick like it’s some kind of magic!
Easy, right? Then you casually mention that the hole moves — that’s all there is to it!
When you utter those ridiculous words, remove the toothpick to reveal that the hole has mysteriously shifted from the centre to a completely new position! Pop it back in and place the blue card right back where it started. Take it out again to show everything’s exactly as it was at the beginning.
Honestly, this is a mind-boggling illusion that’ll leave your audience pondering how on earth you pulled that off!
