The effect:
You invite a spectator to pick a balloon from a bunch of five, each a different colour. They can choose freely (no pressure, mate). Once they've selected, say, the yellow balloon, they get to inflate it. No sneaky business here; you’ve got an envelope in full view this whole time.
Inside that envelope, there’s a clipboard with a prediction – no funny stuff! You explain that five balloons are doodled on the sheet, but there’s a big ol’ cross on just one of them. When you reveal it, bingo! That cross is right on the balloon they picked! It’s simplicity at its finest and packs a punch that’ll leave them (and you) grinning.
But wait, there’s more! You also get a drawing featuring ESP cards. Perform the same mind-boggling effect with those – one card chosen out of five, and guess what? The selected card sports a cross too! It’s like magic bingo, but cooler.
