So, picture this: you’ve got a standard puzzle cube and a pint-sized version. Now, add a nifty little box that’s just the right fit for the smaller cube. The performer turns his back, like a classic magician (because what’s magic without a bit of mystery, right?). A spectator places the tiny cube inside the box, showing off their favourite colour on top before sealing it up tight. When the performer finally turns around, he nails the colour in the box like it’s a casual Tuesday! Meanwhile, he’s shaking the regular cube in his hands, and voila—one side is suddenly a single, bold colour!
Upon popping open the box, it turns out the small cube matches the colour of the regular cube. What are the odds? (Spoiler: they’re pretty good when you’re this talented.)
Next round, the spectator keeps the small cube in their hands. The performer gives the regular cube another shake, aligning one side with the same colour once more. When asked if it matches the colour they’re holding, the spectator goes for a cheeky "No!" Classic misdirection. The performer then scrambles the regular cube—because why not?—and with a confident flair, he declares, "Let’s make all the sides the same as what’s in your hands!" Another shake, and bam! All sides of the cube are now perfectly aligned with that same colour. Magic, without the BS!
