Darwin Ortiz is a bit of a legend in the magic world—a rare blend of technician, creator, thinker, and performer. His sleight-of-hand skills and deep understanding of gambling scams have made him the go-to consultant for casinos across a dozen countries (yes, he’s basically the James Bond of card tricks). His books, including Strong Magic and Designing Miracles, are considered essential reading (like the classics, but with more card tricks). As for performing, he’s dazzled Fortune 500 companies, universities, and even graced the stages of both the Bush and Obama inaugurals. Plus, he’s shared the limelight with the likes of David Roth in a two-man show.
In this landmark DVD series, Darwin showcases the jaw-dropping effects from his legendary repertoire—now shot in pristine digital clarity (because who doesn’t love seeing magic look good?). First up, you’ll catch Darwin performing a full show (a masterclass on how to make card magic not just entertaining, but downright immersive). Once the applause dies down and the audience heads home, Darwin spills the beans on his clever methods, ensuring you can add these gems to your own routine. And let’s not forget his insightful musings on magic performance—wisdom from one of the craft’s most thoughtful minds.
Darwin Ortiz had a simple goal with this DVD set, and trust us, he’s nailed it—nothing but the best!
