Darwin Ortiz is not your average magician; he’s a rare blend of precision, creativity, intellect, and performance savvy. His sleight-of-hand artistry, paired with his deep understanding of gambling scams, has made him the go-to consultant for casinos across a dozen countries. His books on card magic? Modern classics, no question—especially Strong Magic and Designing Miracles, both of which dive headfirst into the theory of magic. As a performer, he’s dazzled audiences from Fortune 500 companies to college campuses and even at both the Bush and Obama inaugurals. Plus, he’s graced television screens and shared the stage with the legendary David Roth in a two-man show.
In this groundbreaking DVD series, Darwin showcases the most jaw-dropping effects from his legendary repertoire—now filmed in crisp, glorious digital clarity for an eager audience. You’ll catch Darwin performing an entire show (which doubles as a masterclass in how to string together card magic for maximum impact and entertainment!). Then, once the applause dies down and the crowd disperses, Darwin lays bare his cunning methods in painstaking detail, so you can incorporate these stellar effects into your own act. Oh, and did we mention you’ll also get to soak up some of Darwin’s deep insights on magic and performance? Just a bit of wisdom from one of the field’s sharpest thinkers.
Darwin had one simple aim with this DVD set—and let’s be honest, he absolutely nailed it: nothing but the best!
