Back in the day (we’re talking 1833, folks), Bernhard Dondorf kicked off the B. Dondorf company in Frankfurt, Germany. This chap was all about high-quality print products – a bit of a perfectionist, if you will. By 1839, he decided playing cards were his jam, and the rest is history.
Fast forward to the present, and we’ve got this revived and re-imagined deck from the late 19th century, printed to give a nod to these nearly forgotten masterpieces (because who doesn’t love a bit of nostalgia?).
Manufactured by the US Playing Card Company, these beauties are printed on premium thin crushed paper stock with an Air-Cushion finish and a traditional cut. What does that mean for you? Simply put, the quality is top-notch – no dodgy cards here!
