This routine has been in my 'A set' for more than twenty years! It guarantees amazing reactions and has never let me down. Instantly repeatable and ready to roll at a moment's notice.
You’ve got three ways to perform this: as a solo, with a twin invisible deck, or even as a killer ending or ridiculously visual opener! Personally, I’ve used it as a twin invisible deck routine. You kick off by claiming to have two invisible decks, one red and one blue, making you feel like some kind of magician Neo from the Matrix! Two audience members, one picks red or blue while the other takes the other deck.
The blue deck is whipped out of the box & 'shuffled' before being spread out on a real or invisible table. They choose any card and remember it. Meanwhile, the holder of the red deck removes their box and does the same. You then look away (how very polite of you) so as not to 'see' the first spectator's card as they turn it face up and toss it into the second spectator's red deck. They tidy up the deck and then pass it to you through all the invisible cards. A real deck materialises in your hand. As an afterthought, you casually say, 'Oh, can you toss me the card case on the count of three?' The moment they throw the invisible box; a real one visually pops up around the cards in your hand. The appearance is so jaw-dropping, everyone will think they’ve had one too many! The reactions are always bonkers, which is why it’s been in my 'A set' for twenty years!
