Prepare to be dazzled by Ei8ht, a collection of card tricks so baffling they’ll leave your audience wondering if they've just been hit by a spell (spoiler: they have). For the first time, Mark Wong spills the beans on his all-time fave routines that guarantee gasps and applause every single time!
The download features eight card tricks alongside some handy presentation tips. And the best bit? Most of these effects are a doddle to learn and perform (you'll be dazzling your mates in no time).
Ambitious Aces
Four aces are displayed. The spectator picks either the red or black aces, which are promptly shoved to the bottom of the packet. But hold on! Those chosen aces keep popping back to the top like they’ve got a mind of their own. As a cherry on top, the selected cards do a sneaky switcheroo right from the spectator's hands. Magic? You bet!
Apparition
A card is freely chosen and shuffled back into the deck by the spectator. Then, another coloured deck is brought in to uncover the chosen card. The performer deals cards face up, asking the spectator to think of their card and shout stop in their head when they spot it. The kicker? The performer finds the selected card in the most ludicrous places. Just when everyone thinks it’s all over, the selected card magically flips back to its normal colour!
BoomerBand
With a spectator’s chosen card lost in the deck, a rubber band is wrapped around the whole thing to keep it all nice and contained. At the performer’s command, the selected card shoots out of the tightly bound deck like a boomerang, landing perfectly in their other hand. It’s like a magic trick and a party trick rolled into one!
Claymore
A “prediction” card is placed face down on the table. The spectator selects and signs a card before it’s lost back into the deck. When the performer brings attention to the prediction card, shockingly, it turns out to be the signed card! (Cue the gasps.)
Equator
This one's a visual treat! A selected card vanishes from the top of the pack only to reappear sandwiched between two face-up jokers in the middle of the deck. It’s like magic and a sandwich had a love child.
In Your Face
The spectator’s chosen card is lost back in the deck, and with a deft flick of the wrist, the performer seemingly plucks it right from the middle of the deck. It’s like they’ve got eyes in the back of their head!
Pick-Pocket
A card is selected, signed, and shuffled back into the deck. The performer places a joker in the spectator's pocket and starts digging through the deck for the selected card. All the while, that signed card has been chilling in the pocket the whole time! (Naughty little thing.)
SCP (Spring Card Production)
A card is chosen, signed, and shuffled back into the deck. The performer springs the face-up deck and, lo and behold, a FACE DOWN card (the selected one, of course) is produced from the middle! As an encore, the performer changes the entire deck to a different coloured back from the selected card. Mind officially blown!
