Erinus Eterna is a deck of playing cards brought to life by Vincent, taking a leaf (pun intended) from the ancient "Erinus Lobelia" plant, which was named by the illustrious Carl von Linné back in 1707. This plant’s flower can mean all sorts of things depending on its hue, from love and prosperity to a good luck charm for your next family gathering. Back in the days of Emperor Nerone, Erinus was even considered an avenging deity—talk about having a bad day!

Erinus Eterna Gold is the standard edition, but don’t let that fool you—only about 1000 decks are in existence (and once they’re gone, they’re gone). It’s chock-full of premium features, mind you!

Meaning of Back Design

The design is bursting with visible and sneaky symbols, all tying back to the Lobelia Plant’s myriad meanings. Look closely, and you’ll spot branches and leaves tucked away in every nook and cranny. The lush green palette calls to mind nature’s bounty, whilst the colourful figures remind us of the wild variety of flora out there.
The Courts

The courts are where the magic truly happens. Vincent has completely reimagined these beauties, starting with hand sketches before digitising them into a modern style that tips its hat to the classic Dondorf card deck. He’s taken a deep dive into Bernard J. Dondorf’s history, weaving in elements that resonate with today’s world whilst keeping it all about nature. The result? A riot of colour and detail that sings!
The Aces and Pips

Even the Aces and Pips started as humble pencil sketches before they got the digital makeover. Each Ace features an infinity symbol entwined in branches and leaves, while the Pips sport a minimalist infinity design that’s as easy to recognise as your mate after a few pints. It’s all about that infinite connection to nature.
The Jokers

One of the key symbols of the Erinus Lobelia plant is the familial connection—strong roots make for strong bonds. Our jokers are depicted as sturdy hands cradled by roots and leaves, reminding you that it all starts with a solid foundation. Perfect for family game night, or just to look cool on your shelf!
