What’s left from that time? Just a neat stack of 26 personnel ID cards:
13 blokes and 13 ladies, each painstakingly recreated in proper 1970s CIA style, complete with a touch of "aged to perfection," photographic profiles, and all the right formatting (you know, the kind that screams government bureaucracy).
These aren’t your run-of-the-mill props. They look and feel like the real deal.
And with them comes a tale that’s been swept under the rug...
Two Soviet operatives managed to waltz right into Project STARGATE. They trained and lived among the Americans for years, masquerading as regular participants — so good at their craft that even the other psychics were none the wiser.
Now it’s your participant’s turn to do what the CIA couldn’t.
THE EFFECT
A stack of STARGATE ID cards is introduced — the men and women who once dabbled in America's most secretive psychological antics. The cards are thoroughly shuffled (we're talking a proper mix-up).
Your participant learns that hidden in this stack are the two Soviet double agents who almost derailed the whole project.
One by one, they start to 'sense' the cards, relying on their instincts, intuition, or whatever peculiar sense STARGATE tried to cultivate. When they think they’ve spotted the first infiltrator, they go for it. Then they repeat the process to zero in on the second.
Every choice is theirs.
No funny business.
No dodgy moves.
A memo card — prepared well before the fun began — is flipped over.
It reveals the names of the two Russian agents.
Your participant then turns over their selected cards.
They match perfectly.
