Our mates at the Dutch Card House Company have rolled out some new additions to the TULIP series; meet the Grand GOLD Tulip and the Grand RED Tulip.
The Grand Tulip is a mythical flower from Holland, and let’s be honest, it’s about as rare as finding a unicorn (good luck with that). You never quite know what colour it’ll bloom, just like you never know what type of magic your mate will pull off at the pub. The hue of the Grand Tulip reflects its owner’s personality — so, no pressure! If you’re lucky enough to snag a bulb and treat it right, it’ll bloom forever and may even shower you with a bit of prosperity (because who doesn’t want that?).
The card backs have had a complete makeover, featuring floral ornamental details layered to give it that fancy 3D effect (look at us, getting all posh!).
The face cards aren’t left out either. The courts and other faces sport a brand new set of artwork, capturing that enchanting vibe of the Grand Tulip legend. The Grand Red Tulip edition comes with an old pink background that matches the design of the Grand Gold edition — because who doesn’t love a bit of coordination?
The Jokers flaunt delightful artwork of Amsterdam’s canal houses and the iconic Dutch windmills (yes, they’re as charming as they sound).
Now, let’s talk tuck case. The Gold edition (only 500 printed – 370 and 130 gold gilded, if you’re counting) boasts an ultra-thin gold foil laminated to brown paper stock, followed by a full-colour ink print. Fancy, eh?
The Crimson Red edition (also 500 printed, for those keeping score) features glorious Red Rose foil stamping, and the strategic embossing gives it that luxurious feel (because you deserve it). And guess what? All the cards in this edition are GILDED! Yes, the same Red Rose foil is also dressing up the edges of the cards. Bling it on!
