Erik Jan Hanussen was quite the character — an Austrian Jewish hypnotist, mentalist, occultist, astrologer, and clairvoyant who had the dubious honour of predicting the rise and fall of Adolf Hitler. He became known as the prophet of the Third Reich (not exactly a title you’d want on your CV).

In 1930, during a court case where he was accused of professional misrepresentation and fraud, Erik decided the best way to clear his name was to recreate his psychic experiments right there in the courtroom. The next day, he unveiled a routine that would change his life forever — he dubbed it Telepathic Events.

After witnessing Hanussen’s magic tricks, the Judge must have thought, “Well, that’s impressive,” and promptly absolved him of all charges. The reporters, in a frenzy, rushed to their phones to send out a headline that read:

"Miracle in Leitmeritz. Hanussen acquitted, clairvoyance exists, legally confirmed, Hanussen can peer into the future."

In this 1 hour 10-minute video, you’ll discover an effective, easy-to-prepare method that’ll allow you to recreate the very telepathic events routine that rocketed Erik Jan Hanussen to fame and, ultimately, to a rather grim fate at the hands of the Nazis.

The basic effect is this:

Blank cards are handed out to 10, 15, 20, or more audience members (because why not?). They jot down details of an event from their past, seal them in envelopes, and write the date on the front (good luck with the handwriting!).

A few of these envelopes are randomly chosen by different audience members. The dates are read out, and without even cracking open the envelope, you’ll be able to reveal the details of the event that happened on that day.

The system you’ll learn is super versatile — use it one-on-one, as a Q & A method, or even for a fourth-dimensional telepathy routine if you fancy.

No electronics, fancy pens, stooges, assistants, or any over-the-top gadgets required (sorry tech lovers) — just a solid method, with props you can whip up in minutes, and a routine that fits snugly in your pockets.

"Scott once again puts out a well-constructed routine with one of his killer envelope ideas. An easy-to-make tricky envelope that gets you miles ahead in any routine. Plus, he gives you variations and some devious thinking for a Q & A. And he shows you how to use envelopes of various sizes and looks. Once again, Scott proves that he needs to be hired by Staples and Office Depot as a representative. He makes us all want to buy envelopes in volumes. Another winner and worker from the man!"

"Congratulations on another outstanding [effect]. Hanussen's Demise is a wonderful routine and the invisible peek envelope is truly ingenious"
- Bill O'Connell

"I have this effect and it is Brilliant! Scott has taken a mundane method and improved it in a unique way. The handling is subtle yet effective, and the possibilities range far beyond the Hanussen premise. The work is inspired by Bob Cassidy, and I am confident he would have endorsed the unique approach."
- John Streiff

"Scott, thanks for all you offer and do. Always well thought-out material."
