He even links himself to the spectator’s locked arms, all while his thumbs remain securely tied—suspense at its finest!
In “Pull Through,” the spectator takes centre stage. Two lengths of ribbon threaded through rings and wrapped around a volunteer are apparently pulled right through her by two other spectators. No escape artist’s repertoire would be complete without a classic strait jacket escape, and “Dire Straights” delivers just that, with Dan facing a regulation jacket—and yes, there are some funny moments sprinkled in for good measure. The show wraps up with “Escape King,” where a signed playing card is released from a ribbon in a manner that’ll leave everyone scratching their heads. Spoiler: the card and ribbon are given away as a souvenir of the seemingly impossible.
