Harlan wraps up the first act with what he dubs the "World's Saddest Trick," a laugh-out-loud presentation of a simple handkerchief vanish (think of it as magic with a tear-jerking twist).

In "Short and Long," Dan serves up a rather cheeky rendition of the classic Professor's Nightmare.
Moving on to "Burnt to the Core," Dan tears a corner from a borrowed twenty-pound note, destroys it in a riotous exchange with an audience member, and then unveils it unharmed in the middle of a knotted handkerchief (and yes, the corner fits perfectly). Just when you think it can’t get any better, he vanishes the bill again—because really, what’s a magic trick without a bit of suspense?—only to find it nestled inside a small piece of rope that the audience member has been clutching since arriving on stage (spoiler alert: the corner fits yet again!).
To wrap things up, Dan delivers "Cheez Wiz," an absolute comedic triumph that you have to see to believe (trust me, it’s worth it). In a nutshell, he attempts the classic Card Between Panes of Glass trick, but, alas, he’s fresh out of glass and cards.
