The magician presents a simple wooden box, procured from an antique shop years ago. He mentions that when he opened it at home, he found a faded picture of Harry Houdini, "The King of Cards." Odd, right? Especially since it wasn’t there when he bought the thing. And let’s not forget those strange noises at night—yes, that’s right, the box occasionally slams shut as if Houdini himself is trying to make a dramatic exit.
But wait, there’s more! The magician puts this box to the test:
He opens the lid and pulls out a deck of cards and a standard Sharpie Pen (or whatever pen you fancy).
A spectator gets to choose ANY card from the deck and sign it. No pressure! They can place the card ANYWHERE in the deck. Seriously, it’s a completely FREE choice.
Once mixed, the spectator deals the cards into the box. Then—BAM! The lid SLAMS SHUT, as if the spirit of Houdini is yelling “Stop!” The magician confidently asks the spectator to flip over the card they’re holding... Spoiler alert: it’s their signed card!
