An Old English penny is handed to the spectator for inspection. They’ll see it's got a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on it—and yes, it’s a proper coin, minted on the very day JFK was assassinated. The spectator can clutch it in their hand like it’s the last biscuit in the tin.
Next up, a special edition Kennedy Silver Dollar is revealed, minted precisely 50 years after JFK’s unfortunate exit. They can have a good look at it, and yes, it’s got JFK’s face on it, not a cat or anything silly.
Now, the magician holds the Silver Dollar at their fingertips and gives it a cheeky wave. Suddenly, the silver head of JFK makes a swift change to the copper head of Queen Elizabeth II. Yep, you read that right. The rest of the coin? Still silver. Just the head has swapped places, like a dodgy pub quiz answer.
When the spectator opens their hand, they’ll see their copper coin now features a silver JFK face where the Queen used to be. A proper switcheroo, if ever there was one!
