The EffectInvite your spectator to think of someone they’d rather not have in their life. Then, with a cheeky grin, tell them you can employ black magic for a touch of revenge. Any chuckles will quickly vanish as you unveil a rather unsettling coffin box. Inside? A voodoo doll that’s just begging to be examined. Once they’ve had their fill of curiosity, place it flat on your hand and instruct your spectator to envision something unfortunate happening to their chosen victim. All that’s left is for them to plunge the wooden pin into its heart, commencing the dark ritual. And then, under your deft control, this somewhat 'haunted' voodoo doll starts to rise... all on its own... right beneath your spectator's hand... until it’s standing tall, staring them right in the eye.
No wires, no threads, no magnets... just a diabolical secret that’ll have them convinced black magic is real.Want to really sell it? Pop a glass over the doll to isolate it completely, and with a bit of practice (and a steady hand), you can even get it to balance on one leg before your spectator blows it down, finishing off the curse with flair.
