Card to Envelope
Ah, the classic 'Envelope Prediction' has taken a detour! This version, born from my close-up shenanigans at the Blackpool convention in '79, is all about ease—no palming, no copping, just smooth sailing into your audience's minds.

Lie To Me
Here’s a delightful piece where a card is chosen and lost in the deck, but the real magic starts with an old coin in the spectator's hand. This “truth wave” generator allows you to grill them with questions about their card: Is it RED or BLACK? Spot card or COURT card? The kicker? After each answer, you slice the deck, revealing the truth with each flip. And just when they think it’s over, they reach into your pocket and pull out their card, while the answer cards morph into the mates of their selection. Sneaky, right?

Clouseau for Workers
Grab the Ace through Ten of Diamonds and lay them out like a well-organized magician. A spectator picks any card from the deck, which you then lose back in the mix. As you spread the Diamonds face up, they name a number—let’s say 7. You turn over the 7D, flip it down, and with a magical gesture, you count to seven. But surprise! That face-up seventh card is their selected card, while the 7D makes a cozy appearance from your pocket. Classic misdirection at its finest!

JackAces
Here’s a delightful twist: you drop two black Jacks onto the deck, and just like that, they magically capture the selected card. But wait, why the black Jacks? Because the red ones are busy elsewhere! When you spread the deck, they reveal the red Jacks sandwiched with the three mates of the chosen card. Who doesn’t love a good plot twist?

Countless Ace Turning
A little homage to Roy Walton’s brain teaser—how to perform Dai Vernon’s Twisting the Aces without counting. Spoiler alert: I’ve got a solution that’ll keep the brainiacs happy.

Matter of Facts
Another version of the Lie Detector. You place four cards face down, and the spectator picks a card from the deck. As they answer a series of questions, the top card of your lie-detector packet reveals the truth every single time. It’s like magic therapy, but with cards.

Twister's Bluff
Here, you pull out a Royal Flush in Spades and casually deal with the audience’s expectations. As each card turns face up, you’re left with just one card, which magically turns into the Ace, now residing in your pocket. No palming required, just good old-fashioned mischief!

Return of the 7
Let’s have some fun with a spectator selecting six cards followed by one personal pick. As you demonstrate how cards follow like sheep, all seven cards flip face up—except for one stubbornly face down card that ends up being their selection and the only red card in the bunch. Talk about a dramatic reveal!

Homing Cards
Two spectators each choose a card, and after losing them in the deck, the first selection appears in your pocket. You’ll then make it seem as if it’s about to travel back to your pocket again, but surprise! It’s still the first card. And just when they think it’s over, the card sticking out of the fan morphs into the second selection. Magic at its cheekiest!

Little Sympathy
You hand a spectator a packet of eight cards, and they deal one onto the table. After a quick mix-up, with a snap of your fingers, all the cards right themselves—except for the one. And guess what? It’s the matching mate of the starting card. Now that’s what I call a magical bond!

PLUS BONUS ROUTINE

BLACKSTONE in My Pocket
By Chip Kleiman & Peter Duffie
Channeling the spirit of the great Blackstone, you’ll use a deck of cards and a set of 10 letter cards that spell out BLACKSTONE. After a spectator pockets a letter, another spectator shuffles and selects a card, signing it before it’s lost in the deck. You’ll supposedly use the letter to find the signed card, only to reveal that Blackstone has made things even more miraculous by producing the signed selection from your pocket. An interplay of anticipation and laughter!
