You’ll conjure up all sorts of shapes using your trusty phone. Have your spectator pick a card, or ponder an ESP symbol, an animal, or whatever floats their boat. Plug in some headphones (yes, the ones you’ve probably got tangled up in your bag). Now, tell them the left earphone’s for listening to heartbeats and the right one’s for feeling the rhythm (who knew technology could be so poetic?). You whip out the heart monitor app on your phone and start checking your own pulse. Spot the beats on the screen like a pro. Then, take your spectator's pulse, and while they're busy thinking about their card, animal, or whatever else, watch the magic unfold. Suddenly, between the pulses on your screen, voila! There appears a drawing of their selection or thoughts!
