Once again, Mickael Chatelain has outdone himself with an effect that's so impossible, we simply had to call it... IMPOSSIBLE created by Mickael Chatelain.
Picture this, mate...
You whip out a small envelope from your pocket, and what’s it labelled? “PREDICTION”! (Because, obviously, that’s what it is.)
Plonk that envelope down on the table for all to see, or hand it to a spectator if you’re feeling generous; it’s just an envelope, after all.
Next, you grab your trusty deck of cards.
Show off the front and back; it’s a full deck with cards that are all different! (Because who doesn’t love variety?)
Spread them out and invite one of your spectators to pick one!
Let’s say they choose the KING OF HEARTS (classic choice, really).
You then hand over a sheet of paper with some stickers and ask your spectator to use your marker to sign one. (No pressure, right?)
Peel off that signed sticker and slap it right on the KING OF HEARTS!
And just to clarify, that sticker is genuinely stuck to their card; no smoke and mirrors here!
Now show off the KING OF HEARTS with its shiny new sticker!
Gently place it back into the pile of cards, but keep it in sight for dramatic effect!
Now, here comes the fun part: explain to your audience that they’ve been travelling through time (don’t worry, they won’t need a DeLorean), and that it’s utterly impossible for the KING OF HEARTS to have been chosen from the deck!
IMPOSSIBLE, because that very card has been chilling in the prediction envelope since the start! Yup, the one sitting on the table or being held by your spectator!
Your audience will be utterly flabbergasted (and rightly so) as you reach for that envelope (whether it’s on the table or in their hands).
With a cheeky flourish, you slowly open it up...
Inside, there’s just one card. And guess what? It’s the KING OF HEARTS!
The sticker, signed by the spectator themselves, is the cherry on top proving it’s the card they picked moments ago!
How’s this even possible? Magic, my friends! This effect is sure to leave a lasting impression on your audience (and not just because they’ll be scratching their heads in disbelief).
