Known affectionately as "The King of Korn," Karrell Fox was a true legend in the world of magic. This chap was a performer extraordinaire, dabbling in everything from comedy and mentalism to children's entertainment and trade show wizardry. By the ripe old age of sixteen, he was running a magic shop and had already graced the screens of iconic shows like The Ed Sullivan Show. Let’s not forget his enduring role as Milky the Clown, which had a good run on telly. When it comes to clever ideas, Karrell was in a league of his own, presenting clean and practical routines that are as effective on stage as they are easy to master. Each of the following gems is not just performed but thoroughly explained in this video:

X-Ray Glasses - Watch as a selected card is revealed in a mind-bogglingly funny way. Simple to execute yet commercial enough to make you the life of the party!

Flip-Over Cards - Four matchbooks transform a basic four-Ace production into a theatrical masterpiece. And guess what? You can use the same method for four selected cards too.

Why Not? Papers 2 Bills - Five pieces of newspaper magically morph into five one-dollar bills in a visual spectacle that’s a doddle to create and perform. A must-have for trade shows!

Loop Lift - A cheeky way to cut and restore a rope—easy peasy and highly marketable. This method can shine on its own or seamlessly fit into your existing routines.

Mene-Tekel Book Test - A freely-chosen page is ripped from a magazine and hidden away, yet the magician accurately describes its contents. A crafty trick that eliminates the usual memory work—thank goodness!

Papa-Rose - Two bits of tissue paper—one red, one green—come together to magically become a real flower. Feel free to hand it over to your spectator (they might appreciate it).

Sealed Stab Prediction - A spectator picks a card by inserting an envelope into a deck. Amazingly, the selection matches the performer’s prediction inside that very envelope. How’s that for a twist?

Jig-Saw Cards - A card is picked from a set of ten, then the cards are torn into quarters. Those fragments are tossed into a paper bag, and the performer retrieves four pieces, which are then placed face down on a clear panel. When revealed, all four pieces match the spectator’s card—perfect for any setting!

Cane to Wand / Cane to Rope - Two highly commercial applications for a standard vanishing cane that can kick off another routine in your show with a bang.

Flash-Strip - Watch a strip of tissue paper get torn into bits, only to be restored in a flash. A fabulous opener for any platform or parlour show!

Magachange - Two magazines with totally different covers are shown, and in a snap, they swap places while one’s tucked under the performer’s arm. Super easy to make and perform—visually stunning too!

Sonuva Switch - A simplified version of the classic McCombical Prediction. A jumbo card prediction is wrapped in newspaper, and even if the selected card doesn’t match, you’ll pull a rabbit out of a hat (well, not literally) as the jumbo card miraculously transforms to match the selection.

A Two-Fisted Book Test - A remarkably easy way to perform a book test using an unprepared, ordinary book. It’s solid mentalism, and you’ll be showcasing it in your own show in no time.

Silkut - A silk handkerchief is placed into a piece of paper, with both ends visible. The performer snips through the paper with shears, yet the silk mysteriously reappears intact. Magic, eh?
