MATCHED: Picture this: you’ve got a stack of 8 cards adorned with ESP symbols and a Prediction card chilling face down on the table. You let the spectator cut the pile as many times as they fancy—because who doesn’t love a little control? As you transfer cards one at a time from the top to the bottom, they call “Stop” whenever the mood strikes. At that precise moment, you spell E-S-P while dealing the next 3 cards. The spectator gets to pick one of these cards and set it aside, face down. You then flip the top card from your pile to reveal the ESP symbol. They turn over their selected card, and voilà! It matches your top card like a perfect Tinder date. To top it all off, you hand them the Prediction card, which, shocker, also shows the same symbol they just picked!
COUNTRY PREDICTION: You’re about to show off some serious mind-reading skills with a handful of business cards, each flaunting the name of a different country. You then whip out a small envelope housing your Prediction. After mixing up the cards, you invite the spectator to split them into two face-down piles. They pick a pile, peek at the top card, and you open the Prediction envelope like a magician on a game show. Out come a few cards, which you spread face up to reveal letters that spell out the name of the country they just freely selected! No forces, no funny business—just pure, unadulterated magic.
