The Geung Si Playing Cards takes a cheeky peek into the world of the Chinese hopping vampire, that quirky creature made famous by Hong Kong films in the 80s and 90s—think horror, comedy, and just a dash of action. We’ve thrown in a melting pot of myths, urban legends, modern vampire tales, and the historical shenanigans of the Ming and Qing dynasties (where these hopping vampire capers usually unfold), all wrapped up in a manga-inspired aesthetic. It’s a wild ride!
This is part one of a two-deck extravaganza exploring vampires from both the East and West. Our aim? To pit the well-known Western vampires against their less famous Eastern counterparts, introducing a fresh audience (especially the younger lot) to the peculiar yet nostalgic era that both entertained and terrified us as kids.

The Geung Si premium tuck cases are crafted from top-notch paper stock by GMUND of Germany. They’re foiled, letter pressed, and embossed—all the fancy stuff to make you look good.
The card back showcases a Talisman, a Wooden Talisman Sword, and a Yin Yang symbol smack in the middle. The design is a nod to the age-old symbolism of sealing a vampire in its coffin—just in case you were wondering about that.
