Do we really need another "Card At Any Number?!" (Honestly, how many more do we need?)
Well, let me tell you why you should care about this one:
IT IS A COMPLETELY HANDS OFF CARD AT ANY NUMBER.
Now, let’s be crystal clear about what this effect entails:
The deck of cards is firmly in the spectator's hands. At no point do YOU EVER TOUCH THE CARDS! (Yes, you heard that right.)
Ask the spectator to think of any number between 1 and 52. No tricks, no forces. Whatever number they pluck from the air, they deal the cards face up to that number. And lo and behold, the card at that position matches your prediction, which has been chilling in the card case from the start.
I’m laying it all out here – no gimmicks, no duplicates. You can even borrow the deck, though a smidgen of setup is needed. Once that's done, you're back in business in a flash. This is 100% foolproof. Seriously, there's no way it won't work.
Depending on the number, they may need to count from the face of the deck or the top. In the rarest of cases, they might have to cut the cards. But remember, YOU NEVER TOUCH ANYTHING. (It’s almost like you have a magic butler.)
Oh, and I throw in another effect using a similar principle – a song prediction.
You have a stack of songs scrawled on some blank cards. They name a number, count down, and the song at that number matches your prediction. Easy peasy!
