Here’s what your audience (and your fellow magicians) will witness…
Two paper-clipped, red-backed cards are casually placed on the table as your magician pals lean in for a closer look.
A card from a blue-backed deck is selected, signed by the spectator, and then lost back into the deck. So far, so good.
The two red-backed, paper-clipped cards are picked up right in front of everyone. One card goes in each hand, and guess what? Your hands are wide open! No sneaky hold-outs or extra cards hiding in there.
NO PALMING OUT or DITCHING!
THIS IS HOW MAGIC SHOULD FREAKING LOOK!
One of the cards is chosen by the spectator (their call!) and surprise, it’s a JOKER! “Jokers are wild!” you quip. Classic, right? But hold on! The other card is opened (yes, even by the spectator if you’re feeling generous) and it’s the SPECTATOR'S SIGNED CARD… with a RED BACK!
Nothing to conceal here… you’re as CLEAN AS A WHISTLE. This paradox is disturbingly satisfying because the "solution" in this magic genre? It’s a FIRST!

The faces and backs of these four cards are shown to the spectator, and she confirms that her selection is among them! Flip the packet face-down, reveal four backs, and twist the cards — one card turns face up… and it’s her selection!

Twist the packet again and show four backs again, proving her selection has flipped back down! Turn the cards face up… and everything looks normal.
