The effect:
The magician pulls out the 10 of Hearts and plonks it face down on the table. Next, he brings in the 3 of Hearts for a little fun.
One by one, the three heart pips are visibly peeled off the 3 of Hearts. As each heart is plucked away, it completely vanishes from the card, leaving behind nothing but empty spaces (talk about a bad breakup).
Those missing hearts then sneakily travel to the face-down 10 of Hearts. When the card is flipped over, the audience is greeted with the jaw-dropping sight of a 13 of Hearts, with the three missing hearts now making themselves at home on the card.
But wait, there’s more (because of course there is)!
The magician then removes the three extra hearts from the 13 of Hearts and plops them back onto the empty spaces of the original 3 of Hearts. Just like that, the 3 of Hearts is back to its former glory.
