FOILED MORTALIS MACHINA PLAYING CARDS
When mortals and machines have a playdate, you get Mortalis Machina. This deck is the audacious offspring of human and tech, wrapped up in a posh set of playing cards. It's like someone took a regular deck and sprinkled some magic dust on it, turning it into the world's first fully functional, all-paper mechanical gear box. It fits snugly in your hand, looking all innocent and deck-sized, but with a twist that’ll make you do a double-take.
DESIGNED BY THE PAPER GEAR COMPANY
Dreamt up and crafted with love by us, The Paper Gear Company, the Iron (Bronze) and Cobalt (Blue) Editions flaunt a metallic shine and a paper-engineered gear box that's breaking norms. This isn't just another deck for the shelf; it's the crown jewel of your collection. But don't sleep on it—there are only 999 copies of each edition.
STANDARD & GILDED EDITIONS: IRON & COBALT
The gilded series jazzes things up with bronze edges for Iron and silver for Cobalt. Channeling the mash-up of human and machine, the design borrows from the steampunk playbook that inspired the whole gig. Step into a world of Victorian excess, Baroque swirls, Gothic vibes, and a sprinkle of dark fantasy mystique on every card.
The standard deck contains the same box but no gilding on cards.
The cards and gear box were like two peas in a pod from the get-go, with cogs and gears woven into the artwork for a seamless vibe.
THE COURTS & JOKERS
We didn't just slap some faces on the court cards and call it a day. Nope, these characters went through the ringer to come out all fancy and full of life.
The jokers? They’re serving up a cheeky take on life’s little ironies—one holds a heart (aww, love), the other some bling (hello, wealth). Dressed in traditional Harlequin style, they're here to remind us that what we chase might not always make us happy.
Jacks [Death Messengers]
We've whipped up some special pips for this deck
THE FOILED METALLIC GEAR BOX
The Mortalis Machina "Gear Box" is our proud paper-engineered pride and joy. Crafted at The Paper Gear Company, this nifty box wasn’t born overnight. It’s the love child of trial, error, and sheer creative madness.
Pop open this foiled gear box, and you're in for a show—gears twirl, parts glide, and suddenly, you're in a mechanical wonderland. We've given the Iron edition a bronze gleam and the Cobalt a silver shine to amplify the pretty factor. It's all-paper, ultra-light, tough, and Mother Nature approved.
No need to call in a crane—this box is as compact as your average tuck box, but with mind-blowing precision. It's an experience waiting for your hands to discover, open, and admire every single time.
LIMITED TO 999 COPIES
Given the painstaking effort behind these beauties, each Iron and Cobalt edition is capped at a mere 999 copies. Every gear box is lovingly assembled with the kind of craftsmanship that turns each into a one-of-a-kind treasure.
