The above quote is one I’ve seen rattled off in various mentalism tomes by some of the biggest names in the game.
However, after nearly two decades of poring over other people's systems and crafting my own Q & A methods, I must respectfully disagree. As a full-time mentalist and psychic entertainer, how you gather your intel is absolutely crucial. So let’s rephrase that statement, shall we?
"Your ability to answer the audience's questions can make or break a Q & A routine, but the method you use to obtain the information is utterly essential."
From my perspective, starting with a clean method for accessing the audience's questions is key to building a solid Q & A routine. With that in mind, I set some criteria for my own system:
- Real-time
- No electronics (because they always seem to fail at the worst moment)
- No assistants
- No impression devices
- No pre-show work
- No stooges (instant or otherwise)
- No sneaky peeks at folded cards
- No memory work
- Instant access to the information
- All props appear innocent and are commonplace
After years of experimentation and a fair bit of trial and error, I can confidently say that I’ve developed a system that ticks all of these boxes.

There are 'pre-packaged' kits ranging from £70 to £300, printed books, ebooks, audio programs, and a smattering of DVDs on Q&A. Each one has offered something of value, some I adored, but many just didn’t resonate with me.

As a long-time fan of all things Scott Creasey, I was chuffed to check this one out.
There’s a lot to appreciate about "My Q&A." While our individual styles and approaches to Q&A may differ significantly, I’m an ardent admirer of the genre and try to soak up everything released on the subject. To say I was thoroughly impressed with Scott's method, approach, and structure would be an understatement. I wholeheartedly recommend this ebook, and for the modest price, it’s an absolute steal. Honestly, I’d have been more than happy to fork out ten times that for this exceptional work.
Not only does it excel in structure, timing, framing, and presentation, but it also opens up a myriad of performance options, tailor-made for the performer, environment, and audience. The foundational techniques are also applicable to other mind-reading acts and high-impact routines of the same calibre.
I’m genuinely surprised there isn’t more buzz about this gem. With an interactive beginning, an ultra-strong middle, and a memorable, powerful ending, I reckon any mentalist or psychic entertainer would be absolutely delighted with their purchase. There’s tremendous value here—the routine is simple to execute, devastating in effect, and would shine even in the hands of a rank amateur. I highly recommend you check this out ASAP!

After decades and countless books, I can honestly say this is the first time I’ve encountered an author who speaks the truth—every promise made in the premise is delivered. No stooges, no pre-show, no faffing about (he claims 20 minutes; I’ve done it all in 5!). No electronics, just a few envelopes and paper—refreshingly practical and performable on demand!
This manuscript combines psychological insight with practical advice. After two decades of performing Q&A across Italy, this is the only routine I’ve read that gives you ALL you need (except how to become a mentalist!) to execute a superb Q&A routine while addressing all the common pitfalls!

Scott's done it again! I agree wholeheartedly that how you gather information is crucial, and in this routine, Scott has outdone himself. No gimmicky nonsense here—just a clever blend of tried-and-true methods resulting in an impressively clean and innocent Q&A that could leave audiences gobsmacked.
This is exceptionally well thought out. I bought it last week, and as I practiced with the essentials in hand, I found myself enjoying it more and more. Scott’s routine features multiple moments of audience engagement and boasts a clever climax to cap it all off.
Well worth the investment, and it’s a method I’ll be incorporating into my performances.
