After the smashing success of his debut book "HORUS," Luca Volpe is back with his latest masterpiece, "NEPHTHYS." This eBook is jam-packed with psychological insights and foundational techniques that’ll leave your audience utterly gobsmacked—100% guaranteed! Each effect comes complete with scripts and performance tips (because who doesn’t love a little guidance?).

Here’s a sneak peek at the routines that will have you wowing your spectators:

DOUBLE PREDICTION: A jaw-dropping prediction trick that’s as clever as it is simple! Effortless to perform and utterly undetectable by the audience!

PHOTO CONNECTION: Invite a spectator up, hand them a sealed envelope, and tell them there’s something special inside. They call a friend, who randomly names a famous city—say, VENICE. The spectator opens the envelope to find a photo of... you guessed it, VENICE! (Cue the applause!)

DIRECT BOOK TEST (No gimmicked books here): Get a spectator to choose from three ordinary books (yes, really!). They open to any page and read the first word. You write something on a blank business card and—ta-da!—it matches perfectly. Then they flip to the next page and, without fishing, you nail the last word too. It’s like mind-reading, but without the spooky vibes!

SIXTH SENSE REVISITED: Have a spectator hold a coin behind their back while you do the same. They reveal their hand, and, shockingly, you both show the coin in the same hand! Do this three times—it’s pure magic!

REMOTE VISION: The person on the other end of the phone visualises an image while you sketch something down. You snap a pic and send it via MMS, only for them to open it and see a perfect duplication of their thought! (No psychic powers required!)

DEJA WORDS: A spectator picks a random word under hypnotic suggestion, and you open an envelope that’s been chilling on stage the whole time to reveal their chosen word. By the end, they’ll swear they were hypnotised—classic!

USING THE MONOTONE OF THE VOICE: A nifty trick to enhance your performance by playing with your vocal tone. Who knew the secret to magic was in your voice?

Here’s a little something from Alexander Marsh to whet your appetite: (http://www.psychomagic.co.uk)

"So, I'm sat here with a lovely mug of warm Tea and no less than three chocolate biscuits. Luca has just sent me a copy of this, his latest work and after reading it I am instantly reminded of how impressed I was the first time I read Luca's work.
He seems to effortlessly combine simple and direct methodology with easily understood plotlines to create an astounding effect on his audience. I encourage you to take note of Luca's work and how he achieves his effects; it's a lesson in keeping things simple, clean and effective. Although there are a couple of close-up and 'in the parlour' effects here, Luca's work really shines when it comes to stage effects. It's a rare treat to find a performer who creates original effects for the stage, let alone publishes them.
An enjoyable element of Luca's writing is that he doesn't waste space by telling you how he thinks you should present each effect. He explains the basic effect as seen by the audience and then takes you through his methods for achieving this - his methods often being the most direct manner to achieve the desired outcome - leaving the window dressing to you and your own unique, interesting style. I know it's become something of a cliche these days but these are effects for the working performer. If your audience rarely changes, i.e. you don't perform often for new audiences whom have never seen you before; then this work may not be for you.
If, on the other hand, you perform regularly for strangers, actively seek new work, and want people to talk about you and the amazing things you can do, then this book will not disappoint. So sit back, grab a cup or glass of your favourite beverage and enjoy the fact that you will soon be performing the impossible."
