Perjury is a mind-reading routine that’s so powerful, you’ll want it in your pocket at all times (just don’t sit on it).
The Perjury card features 24 different words. First, a participant picks a word in their head and focuses on it. You, being the magical genius that you are, instantly reveal details about this word and—wait for it—miraculously nail the chosen word!
In the second act, another word is selected, but this time the participant gets to choose whether to lie or tell the truth about certain characteristics. Astonishingly, you manage to discern whether they’re fibbing or being honest, and reveal the mentally selected word like a pro (or a wizard, if you will).
Both choices are completely up to your participants. Each phase employs a different method and presentation, meaning you can perform them separately or together, with one or two participants. Perjury takes some classic methods and gives them a good old twist for this mind-boggling routine.
Just so you know, the lie detection technique in Perjury is not the same as our other lie detector card, Detection (because variety is the spice of life, right?).
