Effect:
Your spectator shuffles a regular deck of cards. Meanwhile, you’ve got an envelope sitting on the table, proudly flaunting itself. This is your prediction envelope!
Spread the deck out like a fine buffet...
Pull out a €10 note, for instance. Unfold it and glide it along the card spread, inviting your spectator to say STOP whenever they fancy—no funny business here.
The spectator can take as long as they want (no pressure, mate)!
At their chosen STOP, slide the note into the card mix. Explain that if you mess up, they pocket the €10 note!
Gonna lose some dosh with every performance? (Spoiler: no.)
Now, flip through the cards one by one until you hit the €10 note. Grab the card right after it and lay it face down on the table.
Invite your spectator to crack open the prediction envelope themselves...
Inside is a card: your prediction.
On the table is the spectator's card.
Reveal both cards at the same time!
This is utterly IMPOSSIBLE! The spectator's card matches your prediction!
