Here’s a cheeky twist on the classic ESP Match Up packet trick, given a festive makeover just for Christmas.
Perfect for those jolly seasonal shows and holiday performances, this routine is a blast to perform, keeps everyone engaged, and builds up to a kicker ending that will leave them scratching their heads.
You kick things off by introducing two identical sets of five Christmas picture cards—Santa's official snaps:
Santa himself, an Elf, Rudolph, a Snowman, and a Christmas Tree.
You hold onto one set and pass the other to a spectator.
With a playful elimination process, you “duck” a card under either your pile or the spectator’s pile for each letter of the phrase:
“Will our photo match?”
The audience plays a role here, deciding who ducks the card—your volunteer or you. One by one, cards are eliminated until you both end up with just one card each.
To everyone’s astonishment, the two remaining cards match perfectly.
But wait, there’s more!
Not only do those final cards match—every single card that was eliminated matches too.
A fun, interactive, and mind-bending routine that gets the whole audience involved, culminating in a super-cool climax that fits seamlessly into any Christmas show.
