Transform Your Volunteers into Mind Readers Without Breaking the Bank on Fancy Props... (And save $360.99 compared to pricier alternatives)

As seasoned magicians know, putting your audience on the pedestal is the secret sauce to leaving a lasting impression on your clients.

Mentalists understand that when spectators become the mind readers, it’s an experience that sticks in their minds for years.

If you’re after a routine that will have your audiences buzzing long after the show, you need Serendipity.

Here’s the skinny on the routine:

Two art easels are set up on opposite sides of the stage, each sporting a large drawing pad.

You kick things off by telling the audience you’re diving into an experiment in serendipity—those quirky little coincidences. Audience members write down simple objects on slips of paper. You know the drill.

You invite two spectators on stage: one becomes the Sender, and the other the Receiver. The Sender will draw from one of the slips, while the Receiver is instructed to 'free associate' on her drawing pad. You give a little demo by scribbling all over one pad, just to set the mood.

You gather the slips, let the Sender pick one, and they both stand behind their easels, pads facing them. You blindfold the Receiver to keep the magic alive.

Once the Receiver is blindfolded, you check in with the Sender to confirm there's something drawable on the slip. Both spectators grab Sharpies and dive into their drawings.

When they wrap up, they sign their masterpieces at the bottom.

You then unblindfold the Receiver and bring both volunteers to center stage.

You reveal the Sender's easel first—let’s say she drew a motorcycle.

Then you unveil the Receiver’s easel and pad. Lo and behold, her scribbles magically mirror the Sender's object!

Here are the nuts and bolts to keep in mind:
  • NO pre-show
  • NO instant stooging
  • NO 'cueing' of any kind
  • NO electronics
  • NO props from magic shops/websites
  • NO complicated sleight of hand
  • NO sleight of hand at all
  • NO impression devices
  • NO dual reality
  • NO chemicals
  • NO 'hard to find' replacement materials
Serendipity operates every single time, employing a method that will have you feeling bulletproof in any performance.

And the kicker? It delivers the same stunning effect as other, pricier (and riskier) methods without the headaches.

Serendipity is built on simple, tried-and-true mentalism techniques. If you’re looking for some flashy new gimmick, this isn’t the ticket.

However, if you’re a pro, you know the value of reliable, solid methods. My paycheck depends on it.

I recently had a Zoom chat with Paul Romhany, editor of VANISH magazine. Paul is one of the most creative minds in the biz, and I trust his thoughts implicitly.

When I told him about Serendipity, he exclaimed, "That's brilliant! I could think of mechanical ways to do the effect, but if I was doing this for real audiences, I'd use yours. It's simple and guaranteed to work every time."

In other words, Paul gets the importance of dependable techniques that deliver the goods.

Plus, Cody Fisher chimed in with some sharp suggestions and psychological insights that elevate Serendipity to a whole new level.

Serendipity hinges on a handful of straightforward concepts, executed with the right motivation.

And since this is a download, you won’t need to invest in any pricey magic gadgets or secret devices.

You could hop on a plane to a gig a thousand miles away, land, and swing by a Staples or Office Depot to grab everything you need.

Best of all, Serendipity accomplishes what a lot of mentalism misses: it offers a striking visual element.

It’s clean, direct, and effortlessly grasped.

What You Get with Your Purchase of Serendipity:

Everyone has their unique learning style, and to cater to that, I’ve packed this routine with resources in written, video, and audio formats.

Here’s what you’ll receive:
  • 9 videos covering every detail you need to know to perform Serendipity.
I made sure each video is separate—no more endless scrolling through a long video looking for that one nugget of info. Each video is clearly labeled for easy learning.

You’ll find videos detailing:
  • Setup
  • What you need for the routine
  • Alternate ideas
  • 2 live performances
  • and more.
The explanation videos were filmed in my loft above my garage using studio lights (the same ones I used for my virtual shows during the pandemic). I mic'd up for crystal-clear audio.

These aren’t L&L Productions quality, but you’ll see and hear everything you need without a hitch.

You’ll also get footage from two live performances of Serendipity. One is for an adult crowd of 50 at a luncheon—watch their reactions, they’re priceless!

The second performance? A lively audience of around 200 middle school students. When I reveal the matching drawing, you can hear them shout, "No way!" So you know Serendipity plays well for even the toughest crowds.
  • A thoroughly written manuscript that outlines the routine and setup
I’ve included photos where necessary to help you along. The written material is well-structured and skips my usual rambling that can happen in videos.
  • A 55-minute mp3 where I walk you through the same points from the written material and videos.
Answers to Some of Your Most Pressing Questions:

Q: Is Serendipity hard to do?
A: Not at all. To quote the late, great Harry Anderson, this release is "cocktail proof." It’s so straightforward you can focus entirely on your performance.

Q: You mentioned a scribbled drawing. Can the Receiver's drawing perfectly match the sender's instead?
A: Sure, but I wouldn’t recommend it. It might come off as 'too perfect.' But if you want that, you can have the spectator match the Sender's drawing spot on.

Q: Is there any limit to what the receiver can draw?
A: Not really. The spectator can replicate just about anything.

Q: Is the receiver 'in on it?'
A: Nope.

Q: Do you meet with the receiver before the show?
A: No way. I walk into every performance cold. I don’t know who the Sender or Receiver will be until I’m on stage and choose them.

Q: Do you have to put a silly cardboard box on the Receiver’s head like in other similar releases?
A: Absolutely not. That just undermines your volunteer.
