Inspired by an oldie but goodie from Bob McAlister, SerpenTrick serves as a cracking opener or closer for any magic routine. It’s versatile enough for close-up, parlor, or stage performances, and it’ll charm any audience (even the tough crowd).
What’s in the box? A plethora of presentations and all the gizmos you’ll need. But here’s the gist of it:
A spectator picks a card from a deck. After shuffling it back into the middle, the magician fans out the cards, claiming that the selected card will rise. Spoiler alert: nothing happens. Classic, right?
Then, in a moment of sheer brilliance (or perhaps desperation), the magician shoves the deck into his pocket and declares he’ll try something with a rope instead. He attempts to make the rope stiff like a board... but, surprise, surprise, that goes south too.
As he sheepishly apologises for his failures, the rope magically rises from his pocket, card in tow.
The magician retrieves the rope, reveals the card, and voilà! It’s the chosen one! (Cue the applause, or at least a few chuckles).
Place it anywhere you fancy (top hat, paper bag, suitcase — you name it).
Remote controlled (because who needs an assistant?).
