Taking a leaf from a classic Bob McAlister trick, Serpentrick is an absolute gem for kicking off or wrapping up any routine. It’s versatile enough for close-up gigs, parlour shows, or even a full-blown stage performance, and trust me, it’ll charm any crowd (even your mate who thinks they're too cool for magic).
Inside the box, you’ll find a plethora of presentations and all the bits you need, but here’s the gist:
A spectator picks a card from the deck. The card goes back into the mix, and as the magician fans them out, he claims that the chosen card will rise above the rest... but, shocker, it doesn’t.
Deciding to change gears, the magician stashes the deck in his pocket and declares he’ll whip up a trick with a rope instead. He tries to make the rope stiff as a board... and fails miserably (classic!).
After a bit of awkward apologising, the rope suddenly rises from his pocket, card in tow. He grabs the rope, pulls off the card, and lo and behold, it’s the selected one! Talk about a surprise (and a bit of a saving grace, right?).
Feel free to place it anywhere (top hat, paper bag, suitcase, you name it).
Remote controlled (no need for a sidekick here!).
