Supercharged - It’s time to re-energise this classic of magic!
I've been performing this updated USB routine for years. I used to work a dual phase routine with rope for about a decade, and it was always a crowd-pleaser. But then I made the switch to cables, and it took things to dizzying heights. The beauty of USB cables is that folks encounter them every day; they know they don't stretch, so they’re no longer just a magic prop!
Three USB cables of varying lengths can be fully examined, and with a simple jiggle, voilà—they're all the same length! You can count them hand-to-hand and even swing them about. Wave your hand over them, and they instantly revert back to different lengths, ready to be examined again. They could even plug them into a power bank if they fancy!
As an optional phase, the cables return to the same length, then you tie them together to form one long cable. The only hiccup? The knots—but watch as you pull the knots straight off the long cable!
You can also perform other 'rope' routines with these cables to leave your audiences in awe!
