The Professor, Dai Vernon, summed up Dr. Sawa this way:

"One of the most creative magicians I have ever known. As the saying goes, you have to see it to believe it—and even then, you won't!" Find out why.

When Dr. Sawa burst onto the magic scene back in the 1970s, he caused an international sensation. His work with paper, seashells, ropes and especially coins was both whimsical and downright astonishing (the sort of stuff that makes you question reality a bit). After a mysterious hiatus from the magic world, he’s back and more enthusiastic than ever—thank goodness for that!

L&L Publishing is chuffed to present a fresh batch of mind-bending coin routines.

  • See-Through Pendant: A solid silver dollar, worn on a chain, transforms into a cut-out coin. Thanks to a devilishly clever method, you end clean (no mess, no fuss).
  • Silvers: Four silver dollars immediately change into four assorted denominations, then revert to their original selves. Magic, but make it fancy.
  • Mr. Feather-Light: Here’s something you haven’t seen before. Picture an “Oil & Water” routine using coins, wrapping up with a stunning Coins Across conclusion. Who knew coins could have such fun?
  • Submarine Coins: When rubbed against the close-up mat, coins invisibly move from one hand to the other with a poetic flair. Seriously, it's like a magic ballet.
  • A Hand Slit: One by one, four large coins magically penetrate through the performer's hand, all wrapped up in a whimsical presentation (because why not have a laugh?).
  • Head & Tail: Six coins are involved. Instantly, five vanish, then the last one goes poof—and then, surprise! They all reappear. Classic misdirection!
  • Cheers in Bretagne! A charming “wedding ritual” using eight silver dollars and a champagne glass. Mystifyingly, the dollars merge into a single coin, making you look like a genius.
  • Pushman: A Sawa classic updated. Twelve coins are pushed into a standard-size Okito Box, then suddenly dozens pop out. And just when you think it can’t get any better, there’s a jaw-dropping climax that will have your audience gasping!
