The Influencers by Elias D'Sastre (Red)

The Jokers are about to show just how influential they can be in this brilliant, multi-phase routine from Elias D'Sastre. (Spoiler alert: it’s not just about looking good in a tux!)

We’ve all heard that Jokers are wild and can "represent" any card, but what if they could actually transform cards right before your eyes? With "The Influencers", they absolutely can!

First, a card is signed and lost in the deck (they’re even welcome to shuffle the cards like they own the place). The Jokers are then plucked from the pack and the cards are fanned out face-down.

You then name a card (let’s say it’s the Nine of Hearts) and ask your participant to grab a card from the spread. This card is handed over and placed between the Jokers. With a flick of magic, it magically transforms into the Nine of Hearts.

Now, since they didn’t see the card before it changed, they might assume it was just sheer luck. (Maybe they really did pull out the Nine of Hearts. Who knows?)

Next, this card is set aside and you offer to repeat the trick with a new card (let’s go with the Ace of Clubs). This time, however, you show the face of the wrong card very clearly before it gets sandwiched between the Jokers. And voilà! It turns into the right one again.

For the grand finale, you slip another card between the Jokers. But wait! You forget to name a suit or value, and the Jokers end up transforming the card into a blank. This blank card is put back between the Jokers, and your participant names the card they picked earlier. With one last magical twist, it’s revealed that the blank card has now transformed into their signed card.

"The Influencers" is direct, powerful, and ridiculously easy to perform — and it leaves your audience with a memento they won’t forget in a hurry.
